To pack or not to pack...

Only one more day to go and we are off on our jolly holidays...and I still have so much to do! I have to admit I'm not a fan of packing and will put it off for as long as I can just to avoid doing it, silly really because this time tomorrow I will be packing like a mad woman and cursing myself for not doing it all sooner...oh well, at least I'm not in denial about it :)

A washing good weekend...

Its getting milder and and the last few days have been a wee bit warmer, Ok we did have a down pour this afternoon but round our way the weekend was mainly dry with some lovely sunny shine on Sunday...So off to the park we did go, the kids on there bikes and me with 3 dogs on leads, we had an extra pooch this weekend as we dog sat for a friend. And while we had fun at the park back at home my washing was also enjoying the warmer spell...Finally some decent washing line weather, oh how I have missed being able to hang washing out to dry...

Ding dong avon calling...

Five reasons I love a bit of Avon...

1. I have very dry lips and over the years I have tried tons of lip balms and creams and so far this is the best one I have found. It contains Shea butter, vitamin E and rice bran oil and its an absolute bargain, its priced at £3.00 but its always on special offer at £1.50 so I order 2 or 3 at a time. It lasts ages and can be worn over lipstick.

2. I've been using these Tweezers for years, they have an angled edge which is great for those extra short stray hairs and they are still as sharp as the day I got them and I've had mine years now, A bargain too, priced at £5.00.

3. There room and linen sprays are lovely, my faves are rose and peach and almond and milk, I use them all over the house and they double up as monster spray too! My 3 year old daughter recently started to have sleepless nights, she would wake up crying and say there were monsters in her bedroom, so now before she goes to bed we spray a little of the monster spray to keep them away, and so far it has worked! These are a bargain too, priced at £3.75, I usually order 3 bottles at a time, well we don't want to run out of monster spray do we!

4. I love this eyeshadow brush with a smudger at the end, its a must for a smokey eyed look. I use mine all the time, mainly just for softening eye liner on eyeshadow free days. Priced at just £5.00.

5. Muslin Cloths, just soak in warm water and use to gently polish off your favourite cleanser, simple but very effective. I buy these in bulk as they sell out quickly, not surprisingly really priced just at £1.50 for 2.

Reasons to be cheerful...

Ok, so my glimpse of warmer weather over the garden fence last night was wrong...so wrong, as today was a cold, wet and generally dull day, but weather aside here are three reasons I'm still cheerful.

1. Its the weekend and that means no school run, no lunch boxes or uniforms to get ready, the blokey is not at work and if I feel like staying in my pyjamas for most of tomorrow I can.

2. Our family holiday to the beautiful Dorset is only 14 days away and I can't wait...I'm really looking forward to taking the kids to see Portland Bill Lighthouse.

3. April's copy of Elle came this morning and I've got a whole weekend to be with it...ahhh bliss.

Happy weekend folks :)

Just popped to the garden to get the washing in and this is what's peeking over our garden fence, I hope its a good sign of the good weather to come (and there in the top left of the tree is our resident magpie) :)

Cats and rabbits would reside in fancy little houses....

When I was little Alice in wonderland was one of my (and still is) favorite films, we had it on video and I would watch it over and over, I knew all the words to all the songs and I still do...after we had watched it for the tenth time I would make my little brother pretend he was the white rabbit and chase him around the back of the sofa pretending I was Alice (the sofa was our tunnel into wonderland!) So I cannot wait to see the wonderful Mr Tim Burton's adaption of it, it looks amazing...
